On behalf of the men and women of the Carneys Point Police Department, welcome to our website, we hope you will find it useful and informative. It is intended to provide the public with an additional opportunity for communicating with us and for learning about how we carry out our public safety mission which is to enable a safe and secure environment by protecting the rights of persons and property through crime prevention and enforcement of law.

The Carneys Point Police Department is one of the finest law enforcement agencies in the State of New Jersey. The members of our organization are dedicated to providing our citizens and the many visitors to our community with quality law enforcement. 

The Carneys Point Police Department serves a residential population of nearly 7,076 - 2022 Census, with 23 full-time Police Officers. As the demands for police service expand, we strive to continually improve our abilities to perform our duties and to expand community partnerships. The very best relationships are built on understanding and communication, and it is the aim of this web site to help you understand our police department and its commitment to enhancing the quality of life in this wonderful Township. We, as a department, urge those who live, work or otherwise frequent our Township to become an active partner with the Carneys Point Police Department in combating crime and enhancing the quality of life. This occurs by you being informed about our police department and the community, and by you informing us about concerns, problems, and relevant information that may result in our preventing criminal activity, solving crimes, and dealing with issues that may improve the quality of life in our community.

Carneys Point police department Mission Statement: 

The mission of the Carneys Point Police Department is to strive for excellence in fulfilling its obligation to provide quality law enforcement services in a fair and impartial manner. It is essential that we hold ourselves accountable to the highest ethical standards while striving to be proactive in obtaining and preserving the trust of the community we serve.

In order to accomplish this mission, a set of goals or standards must be met. We will be committed to providing services to the community we serve in the most efficient and economical manner. We will provide professional law enforcement services by utilizing sound hiring practices and the best training and education. We will maintain a high level of integrity by being honest and loyal not only to ourselves, but to the community we serve. We will earn the trust and respect of the community by serving with dedication, compassion and awareness with respect to cultural diversity.

To accomplish these goals, our commitment is to serve all who reside in our community with respect and dignity. We are dedicated through pride, honor, integrity and equality for all.

Members of the Carneys Point Police Department are dedicated to improving the quality of life to the community we serve. We will listen carefully to our residents and do our best to fulfill their needs. We value all of the residents of Carneys Point Township and will serve them all with equal dedication.

We have been given the honor and privilege of enforcing the law. We must never abuse the power and authority that has been given to us. Our personal and professional behavior should be a model for others to follow. We will support the letter and spirit of the law. While we, as individual citizens, may disagree with a particular law, we will obey and enforce that same law as professionals. We are proud of our profession and will conduct ourselves in a manner that earns the respect of others.

We will strive to achieve the highest level of equality in every aspect. We can never be satisfied with the status quo. We must aim for continuous improvement in serving the residents of our township. We value innovation and support creativity. We realize constant change is a way of life and we will dedicate ourselves to seek new and better ways to serve.

Working for the Carneys Point Police Department is both rewarding and challenging. Our personnel are our most important resource. We encourage each other to submit ideas, listen to suggestions and assist them in developing their maximum potential. We can best 

serve our community by empowering our personnel to make sound decisions in performing their duties. We believe in treating every individual with respect and dignity. We will be caring and display empathy for the victims of crime, consider suspects to be innocent until proven guilty and be fair and impartial with those who violate the law. By demonstrating respect for others, we will earn the respect for the township we serve.

Integrity is our standard. We can never be expected to enforce rules on others that we are unwilling to follow ourselves. We will demonstrate honest and ethical behavior in all of our interactions with the community. Our actions will match the standards of our words. We will have the courage to stand up for our beliefs and do what is right within the law as opposed to what might be more expedient. We will continue to maintain our integrity by remaining free of corruption and continue to uphold this proud tradition.

The Carneys Point Police Department is the leader in law enforcement. In order to maintain this leadership role, every member of this police department needs to be a leader in their area of responsibility. Our values must be part of our daily operations. We must dedicate ourselves to ensuring that our professional colleagues and our community maintain a high level of respect for the Carneys Point Police Department.
